DEPARTMENT OF NUTRITION AND DIETETICS

 

The preservation of one's health through an appropriate lifestyle is closely related to nutrition. It is for this reason that nutrition and dietetics is important not only for hospitals and other health care establishments, but also for the catering sector, especially hotels, restaurants, clubs, schools, and large companies. The overall aim of the program is to enable students to acquire theoretical knowledge in the field, and to gain work experience and managerial skills.The program integrates chemistry, biology, social science, and business courses with the study of food and nutrition. At the end of the third year and during the fourth year, students undergo practical training at Başkent University Hospitals, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Centers, Dialysis Centers, Gölbaşı Patalya Lakeside Resort Hotel, and Kızılcahamam Patalya Thermal Resort Hotel.
